I can't find how to "allow" the network extension

Last update: 11 February, 2025

During onboarding, you are asked to grant permissions to our network extension. On macOS 15, Apple moved the "allow" to a different place. Here's how to find it:

  1. Open System Settings
  2. Go to General > Login Items & Extensions
  3. Scroll all the way to the bottom and find Network Extensions
  4. Click on ⓘ to the right of Network Extensions and Toggle Focus Firewall on

It should look like this:

Click on Allow on permission popup for macOS Sonoma or older
Toggle the switch on (macOS Sequoia or newer)

On macOS 14 or older, the "allow" button is in a different place:

  1. Open System Settings
  2. Go to Security & Privacy > Privacy
  3. Scroll all the way to the bottom and find Focus Firewall
  4. Click on Allow
Click on Allow on permission popup for macOS Sonoma or older
Click on allow (macOS Sonoma or older)
Focus Firewall application icon
